OMG!! I'm in love with this place.. One of the best experiences. I've been there with my husband and we had great time together. Heavenly sunset. My husband is a passionate photographer and he has got the perfect place to capture. The historical tint of that place was amazing. The pebbles we collected from that beach were very unique. The sunken ship and the whale watching are must experience attractions of that place. It has got food and drink places and gift shops also. It is a good tourist place.
Went to Sunset Beach to capture some sunset photos. Was a perfect day for it. Not a lot of people, decent winter weather - no wind so no blowing sand, temperature in the high 40s-low 50s, sunny with just enough clouds to make for interesting photos.
A must see while in Cape May! Lots of pebbles on the beach that are fun to walk on. Taps are played daily as the sun sets over the ocean & the American flag is lowered. A few shops, as well as a sunken ship to admire that still sits in the waters. Love this place!
Home of the legendary Cape May diamonds, Sunset Beach has been a must visit destination for decades. Several shops are here and feature a rock shop, gift shop and in the warmer months a food, refreshments bar. The beach, which is a favorite of amateur geologists and "diamond" hunters, is pleasantly sandy until closer to the water where the sea dredges up the quartz and other colorful and ocean-polished stones. Just off the beach can still be seen the remains of the USS Atlantus, a WWI era concrete ship that in 1926 broke from its moorings and ran aground here.
Must do for bucket list. Every evening there is a flag retirement ceremony. Nice shops and fast food. Miniature golf for the family. Nice clean beach. WWII lookout tower has been restored and open for tourists.
